Prohibited Use Policy

Version 1.0·Updated 1 September 2026

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It says what may be sold on GTAMarket, what may not, and what will get an account closed.

It is short on purpose. Read the whole thing.

1. What we accept

GTAMarket currently supports three kinds of listing:

  • In-game currency — obtained by playing the game.
  • In-game items — obtained by playing the game.
  • Services — one player doing something for another: coaching, playing alongside them, or completing content on their behalf where the seller's own account performs the work.

Every listing must state, on the card and not only in the description, which of these it is and how delivery happens.

2. What we do not accept

2.1 Anything not obtained by ordinary play

This is the rule the whole policy is built around.

Everything offered here must have been obtained by playing the game in the way its publisher permits, on an account the seller lawfully holds.

You may not list anything that was produced, multiplied, duplicated or increased by:

  • third-party software that modifies a game client, its files or its memory;
  • software that automates play, whether it runs on your machine or someone else's;
  • taking advantage of a fault, error or unintended behaviour in a game;
  • any tool, service or method a publisher does not authorise; or
  • anyone else doing any of the above, whether or not you knew.

By publishing a listing you warrant that none of the above applies to it. That is a promise you make to us and to the buyer, and we act on it. Breaking it is not a policy violation to be warned about — it ends the account, forfeits the sale, and where a buyer lost money, we recover it from you.

2.2 Anything that is not yours

  • Currency, items or access obtained by fraud, phishing, credential stuffing, account takeover, chargeback or theft.
  • Anything bought with a stolen or misused payment instrument.
  • Anything you are selling for someone else without saying so.

2.3 Game accounts

Accounts are traded here, under their own rulebook: the Account Trading Rules. Read it before you list or buy one — it is the highest-risk category on this marketplace and it has the longest payout hold, a five-step handover you cannot skip, and its own dispute codes.

What that document prohibits, this policy prohibits: accounts built with third-party software, accounts obtained by fraud or account takeover, accounts created commercially in order to be sold, shared or partial-access accounts, accounts already sold once, accounts under an active restriction, and accounts where the registration email cannot be handed over.

Selling currency or items "with the account" is not a way around the Accounts category. It is an account sale, and it belongs there.

2.4 Software, tools and instructions

  • Software that modifies, automates or interferes with a game, in any form, for any game, ever.
  • Guides, tutorials, videos, scripts or instructions describing how to do any of the things in 2.1.
  • Malware, key generators, cracked software, and anything that carries them.

We do not publish tools that value, estimate or promote goods this policy prohibits, and neither may you.

2.5 Off-platform

  • Payment or delivery arranged outside GTAMarket.
  • Contact details, external links, QR codes, invitations to another platform, or anything designed to move a conversation elsewhere — in listings, images, usernames, messages or reviews.
  • Advertising another marketplace.

Our chat filters catch most of this automatically. The escalating consequences are in Section 4.

2.6 Gambling and randomised outcomes

  • Lotteries, raffles, wagers, mystery boxes, and any listing whose outcome is decided by chance.
  • Anything connected to a real-money gambling operation.

2.7 Prohibited by law or by decency

  • Anything whose sale is unlawful where either party is.
  • Counterfeit goods; anything infringing someone's copyright, trademark or other rights.
  • Personal data, identity documents, phone numbers including virtual numbers, and accounts on services other than games.
  • Weapons, drugs and controlled substances.
  • Sexual content, and anything involving or appealing to minors.
  • Content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or that promotes discrimination or violence on any ground.
  • Anything connected to a person, entity, vessel or territory under UN, EU, UK, US or [TO BE COMPLETED: country of incorporation] sanctions.

2.8 Publisher material

No publisher's logo, artwork, screenshot, gameplay capture, character art, font, trailer or trade dress — not in a listing image, not in an avatar, not in a banner, not anywhere. Use plain text to name the game your listing relates to, and nothing more than is needed to identify it. Do not use a publisher's name in a way that suggests they endorse, approve or stand behind what you are selling.

See the Intellectual Property Policy.

3. Conduct

3.1 Listings

  • Describe what the buyer receives. Do not describe how it came to exist.
  • No duplicate listings, keyword stuffing, or miscategorising to reach a different audience.
  • No prices you do not intend to honour.
  • If your listing requires something of the buyer, put it in the listing. A condition that appears after the order does not count.

3.2 Delivery

  • Deliver by the method and within the time your listing states.
  • Do not ask a buyer to confirm delivery before you have delivered.
  • Do not ask a buyer for their account credentials. There is no legitimate reason to, in any category we currently offer.

3.3 Reputation

  • Do not review yourself, arrange reviews, trade reviews, or buy them.
  • Do not offer anything in exchange for a review or for removing one.
  • Do not threaten a review, or a dispute, to get something from the other party.

3.4 Each other

  • No harassment, threats, slurs or abuse — towards another user or towards our staff.
  • No impersonating another user, a publisher, or us.
  • No interfering with another seller's listings or reputation.

3.5 The service

  • No scraping, no automated access beyond what we publish, no attempt to break, overload or probe the system.
  • Do not test our security without written permission. If you find something, tell us at compliance@gtamarket.store and we will thank you properly.

4. What happens when a rule is broken

We act proportionately, and the same breach gets the same answer whoever commits it.

First timeRepeated
Contact details or off-platform invitation in chatMessage blocked, warningTemporary suspension, then permanent

Stolen goods, stolen payment, account takeover (2.2)Account closed, balance frozen, reported where the law requires.—

In every case you get a written statement of what we did, on what facts, under which clause, whether an automated tool was involved, and how to contest it — and you can contest it, to a person who did not make the first decision. That process is in Section 12 of the Terms of Service and, for traders, the Seller Terms.

5. Reporting something

If you see a listing, message or account that breaks this policy — or anything you believe is unlawful — report it from the listing itself, or write to support@gtamarket.store. Rights-holders should use the Intellectual Property Policy; notices about unlawful content should use the process in the DSA notice.

We acknowledge every report, we act on the ones that need acting on, and we tell the person who reported it what we decided.
