GTA 6 Pre-Order Guide — Editions, Bonuses & What You Get

4 min read·

$3 Billion in 24 Hours

GTA 6 pre-orders shattered every record in entertainment history — $3 billion in the first 24 hours alone. To put that in perspective, the biggest movie openings of all time don't come close.

This tells you two things: the demand for GTA 6 is unprecedented, and the in-game economy is going to be massive from day one.

Available Editions

Standard Edition — $69.99

The base game. You get the full single-player campaign with Lucia and Jason in Vice City, plus access to GTA 6 Online when it launches.

  • Full single-player story mode
  • GTA 6 Online access
  • Available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Digital Deluxe Edition — $99.99

Everything in the Standard Edition plus exclusive online bonuses that give you a head start in GTA 6 Online:

  • $1,500,000 in-game cash for GTA 6 Online
  • Exclusive vehicle — a custom supercar not available through regular gameplay at launch
  • Bonus outfit pack — 5 exclusive character outfits
  • Early access to a starter property in GTA 6 Online

Collector's Edition — $149.99 (Physical Only)

For serious collectors. Includes everything in the Digital Deluxe Edition plus physical items:

Where to Pre-Order

Pre-orders are available through:

  • PlayStation Store — for PS5 digital
  • Microsoft Store — for Xbox Series X|S digital
  • Major retailers — Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart for physical copies
  • Rockstar Warehouse — for the Collector's Edition

Stock for the Collector's Edition is extremely limited and has already sold out at most retailers. If you find one, grab it.

Pre-Order Bonuses Everyone Gets

Regardless of which edition you choose, all pre-orders include:

  • Early access to GTA 6 Online — 72 hours before the general public
  • Exclusive weapon skin — Vice City-themed weapon wrap
  • $100,000 in-game cash bonus on top of any edition-specific bonuses

Why Pre-Order Bonuses Matter for Trading

Here's what most people don't think about: those exclusive pre-order items — the vehicle, the outfits, the weapon skins — will be tradeable in GTA 6 Online. Pre-order exclusives historically become some of the most valuable items in online games because the supply is fixed. Once pre-orders close, no one can ever get these items again except through player-to-player trading.

This means pre-order items could become serious investments. If you're planning to trade on GTA Market, holding onto your exclusives until demand peaks could be a smart play.

PC Version — What We Know

GTA 6 is launching on consoles first. Rockstar has not confirmed a PC release date, but based on their history with GTA V (which came to PC about 18 months after consoles), most analysts expect a PC version in late 2027 or early 2028.

If you're a PC-only player, the wait is going to be tough — but when it arrives, the trading market will explode all over again with a whole new wave of players.

Should You Pre-Order?

If you're planning to play GTA 6 Online and you care about having an economic advantage from day one, the Digital Deluxe Edition is the sweet spot. The starter cash and exclusive vehicle give you a meaningful head start, and those exclusive items will hold value on the trading market.

If you just want to play the story, the Standard Edition is perfectly fine.

Either way, join the GTA Market whitelist so you're ready to trade when the online economy goes live. Early sellers on GTA Market get 1% commission for the first 2 months — that's a huge advantage when the market is at its most active.
